Hello, I'm Erin Singleton, and I want to share a little about myself and my journey into the world of counselling
Like many, I had always thought about pursuing a career in counselling, but it wasn't until the unprecedented events of lockdown that I decided to take the leap. Being put on furlough gave me the opportunity to reflect on my own experiences and the profound impact that counselling can have on one's life.
I am a firm believer in the power of lived experience, and my own journey has given me a deep understanding of how counselling can truly make a difference. My passion for helping others has led me to work with organisations dedicated to supporting those affected by domestic violence and abuse, where I witnessed first hand the transformative potential of therapy.
My dedication to continuous professional development and supervision ensures that I am equipped with the latest techniques and insights to provide effective counselling. I hold qualifications from CPCAB-approved counselling exams, and I am a proud member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I trained at Ocean Counselling Training, where I completed levels 2, 3, and 4 in therapeutic counselling and I gained my diploma. This foundational training has enabled me to work with individuals facing common and complex mental health challenges while also equipping me with the expertise to address specific issues related to sight loss and domestic abuse.
At Erin Singleton Counselling, my goal is to provide you with a safe and supportive space where we can explore your unique experiences and challenges. Together, we will work towards a brighter, more resilient, and empowered version of yourself. I look forward to embarking on this journey with you, and I'm here to support you every step of the way. Please get in touch.
